Pavlovsk Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On May 19, 2015, the refrigerated cargo ship 'Pavlovsk' came to the rescue of the seiner 'Mys Zolotoy' (IMO: 8730039), which had encountered a fire in its engine room while sailing from Yuzhno-Kurilsk on Kunashiri Island to fishing areas near the northern islands of the Kuril Archipelago. The incident occurred when electrical cables ignited, resulting in the disabling of the vessel. Fortunately, the diligent crew was able to contain and extinguish the fire. Following the successful firefighting efforts, the 'Mys Zolotoy' was safely taken in tow and transported to the port of Kurilsk on Iturup Island.
