These state-of-the-art vessels will be operational with L’Express des Iles, a valued client of Austal, as reported by the Motorship. The contract for the design and construction of these ferries was awarded back in June 2010, celebrating a continued partnership that began with L’Express des Iles’ first contract in 1997. The first vessel, named Perle Express, is designed to accommodate up to 364 passengers across two levels, in addition to providing space for 10 vehicles and extra cargo.
