On January 24, 2019, the cargo vessel 'Visnes' encountered difficulties as it ran aground in the early morning off the Kolding Fjord, specifically at coordinates 55° 29.62' N 009° 34.99' E. The ship was outbound from Copenhagen, transporting stone when the incident occurred. Fortunately, no environmental damage was reported, prompting immediate action from the environmental vessel 'Gunnar Thorson' dispatched to the scene. To ensure safe refloating of the 'Visnes', divers were required to inspect the ship prior to any attempts. In addition, the Danish patrol boat 'P 523' (MMSI: 220434000) was placed on standby to assist. A crucial development occurred on January 25 at 11:30 a.m., when the tugboat 'Obelix' (IMO: 9691448) departed from Fredericia. By early afternoon, 'Obelix' successfully connected with the grounded freighter.
