Pinocchio Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On March 11, 2024, the container vessel 'Pinocchio', while navigating the Red Sea from Jeddah to Suez, came under attack when Houthi militants launched two ballistic missiles targeting the ship. Fortunately, the 'Pinocchio' emerged unscathed from this aggressive action. In retaliation, the United States conducted six targeted airstrikes in Houthi-controlled regions of Yemen. These strategic strikes successfully neutralized a threat, destroying an unmanned underwater vehicle along with 18 anti-ship missiles, which posed an immediate danger to both commercial shipping and U.S. Navy vessels operating in the vicinity.
