On December 5, 2017, a significant milestone was achieved as the acceptance act for the Project RSD49 dry cargo vessel 'Pola Sevastiana' was finalized between LLC 'Pola Rise' from Russia and LLC 'Nevsky Shipyard.' Developed by the renowned Marine Engineering Bureau CJSC, this vessel represents a key addition to the river-sea navigation capabilities. The inception of this project began with a construction contract signed in December 2016, involving a collaboration between Nevsky Shipyard, PJSC 'State Transport Leasing Company,' and the shipping company 'Pola Rise' LLC. Adhering to the contract's timeline, the vessel was constructed and underwent all necessary tests to ensure compliance with the highest standards. Notably, 'Pola Sevastiana' is the tenth vessel in the esteemed RSD49 series to be built at the Nevsky Shipyard. These versatile vessels are suitable for transporting a wide range of cargo, including general, bulk, and containerized goods, as well as timber and grain. They are also equipped to handle hazardous materials classified under Classes 1.4S, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6.1, 8, 9, in accordance with RID and Appendix B of the Armed Forces Code. 'Pola Sevastiana' is designed to operate in diverse waters, including the Caspian Sea, Mediterranean, Black, Baltic, White, and Northern Seas, offering reliable sailing routes across Europe and the Irish Sea, even in winter conditions.
