Ongoing Repairs for the Pirgos at Las Palmas
The vessel 'Pirgos' remains at the repair facility of MAN Diesel Y Turbo Canarias S.L. located in Las Palmas, where it is currently ballasted forward to provide better access to critical areas such as the engine room, propeller, and tail shaft. This ship has been undergoing extensive repairs, particularly focusing on the tailshaft and main engine, for the past six months. The need for repairs arose after the ship experienced engine failure in the Atlantic Ocean back in November 2014.
