On February 9, 2013, a Coastguard helicopter was dispatched following alarming reports of a crew member suffering severe injuries aboard the "Prague Express" as it made its way towards Southampton, anticipated to dock around 4 p.m. The incident occurred approximately 30 nautical miles south of Shoreham, where the crew member, a Filipino national, experienced significant blood loss after severely crushing his arm during work on the vessel. The Shoreham RNLI lifeboat was initially deployed at around 1:40 p.m.; however, it was subsequently stood down in favor of the Coastguard helicopter, which was deemed more suitable for the emergency situation.
