In a dramatic incident off the coast of Nigeria, the cargo vessel 'Prince Joseph 1' found itself under siege by armed assailants on March 4, 2014, at approximately 1:30 AM. The attack unfolded in the Bight of Bonny, near coordinates 04 17N 007 53E, as gunmen approached in a high-speed boat, capturing three crew members as hostages. Following the harrowing exploit, the ship successfully made its way to Onne port, where it docked later that afternoon.
