Fortunately, despite the explosion causing damage to the vessel, no injuries were reported among the crew or dockworkers present at the scene. In response to the incident, military experts from the Lebanese army, in collaboration with security forces, promptly arrived to investigate the explosion and assess the damage. Members of the Popular Rescue Regiment were also deployed to ensure that all personnel were accounted for and unharmed. Authorities moved swiftly to apprehend the individual who was responsible for loading the hazardous scrap iron, which contained the unsafe shell, as well as the operator involved in its disposal. Acting on directives from the government commissioner to the military court, both detainees were subsequently referred for interrogation to determine the circumstances leading up to this alarming event.
