On November 11 at 11:40 AM, the cargo vessel 'Pulpca', en route from Gdynia, encountered a mishap while entering Lübeck-Travemünde. Due to low visibility, measuring just 550 meters, the ship veered excessively to the starboard side while navigating the river Trave, subsequently colliding with the quay at berth 4 of the Scandinavia Quay. This allision resulted in substantial damage to the quay infrastructure, the pontoon, and some related installations. Additionally, the Ventspils-bound ferry 'Stena Flavia' was also affected, sustaining minor damage, including issues to its wall rail and lifeboat. Fortunately, the 'Pulpca' successfully docked at Sealand Quay 4 by noon. All 20 crew members and a passenger on board were unharmed. Following the incident, the water police in Lübeck have detained both vessels to conduct further investigations.
