On December 5, 2025, a maritime incident unfolded near Tulcea as the vessel 'CSS Dijle' (IMO: 1078676) was anchored at coordinates 45° 12' N 028° 51' E. The calm of the water was shattered when the bulk carrier 'Rama H' collided with the starboard side of the stationary container ship. Reports indicate that the 'Rama H' experienced rudder malfunctions, leading it to strike the anchored vessel, subsequently scraping along its hull. Investigations revealed that the accident resulted from the captain's failure to adhere to the vigilance measures mandated by the Danube Navigation Regulations during the maneuver. Consequently, the captain faced a penalty of 30,000 lei for the oversight. Both ships departed from the Port of Tulcea on December 12, resuming their journeys to their respective destination ports.
