On June 9, 2023, the ferry 'Ramón Llull' made a critical report to the MRCC of Salvamento Marítimo Valencia regarding a fire on a motorboat. This alarming situation unfolded approximately 30 nautical miles off the coast of Denia, resulting in seven individuals abandoning ship and taking refuge in a raft. The swift response from authorities included the deployment of the SAR helicopter Helimer 206 and the Guardia Civil patrol boat 'Río Oja', both instrumental in the successful rescue operation. Fortunately, all seven castaways were brought to safety without the need for immediate medical attention.
