On April 13, 2018, a significant maritime incident occurred in Durban harbour when the car carrier "CSCC Asia" collided with the tugboat "Inyalazi" (IMO: 8317679). During its maneuvering at the tug pier, the car carrier, which had a pilot on board, unexpectedly pinned the tug against its berth. The impact struck the starboard side of the "Inyalazi," forcing it against the pier in the tug basin.
