Engine Malfunction Strikes 'Samba' in the North Sea
On March 19, 2018, at 6:20 PM, the vessel 'Samba', while on its journey from Tananger to Rotterdam, experienced significant engine difficulties at coordinates 54° 12.6' N and 4° 46.21' E. Following this incident, the tugboat 'Amber II', registered under the Malta flag (IMO: 9425423), came to the rescue, commencing a tow on March 20. 'Samba' successfully arrived in Rotterdam harbor on March 21 at 8 PM. Additional support was provided by the tugs 'Rotterdam', 'Smart Barge', 'Smit Schelde', and 'Smit Seine', alongside the patrol boat 'RPA 15'.
