The Recep.kuru: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

On October 18, 2011, at 10:35 LT, the cargo vessel m/v Recep Kuru, IMO 9040948, encountered an unexpected grounding incident while departing from the Port of Temryuk in the Azov Sea. Despite having a pilot on board, the vessel grounded on a mud bottom, resulting in a draft loss of approximately 30 centimeters. Fortunately, by 15:10 on the same day, the m/v Recep Kuru was successfully refloated thanks to the coordinated efforts of three port tugs. The vessel was subsequently docked at berth No. 51 for a thorough inspection by divers. At the time of the incident, the vessel was carrying a load of 3,000 metric tons of wheat, and initial assessments suggest that there was no significant damage incurred.
