The tanker once known as 'Brightoil Grace' has undergone a significant transformation following its arrest in Singapore on December 31, 2018. In a significant development for Brightoil Petroleum, the 2012-built Very Large Crude Carrier (VLCC) Brightoil Gravity has been sold for KRW72.44 billion (approximately $61.28 million) following its arrest in South Korea. Meanwhile, two other vessels, the 2010-built aframax tanker Brightoil Lion and the 2013-built VLCC Brightoil Grace, were sold for S$36.6 million ($26.8 million) and S$75.1 million ($55 million) respectively, after being detained in Singapore. Brightoil has stated they are currently unaware of the identities of the buyers involved in these transactions.
