Following a spate of engine complications that disrupted itineraries on the 'Regal Princess', Princess Cruises has announced an unplanned dry docking for the vessel in April 2025. Guests who booked the 24-night Western Europe & British Isles Grand Adventure cruise, departing from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton, have been notified of the itinerary change. The ship, originally slated to set sail from Florida on April 4, will now arrive in Southampton earlier than expected on April 24, instead of the previously scheduled April 28. This adjustment means that some anticipated port calls will be missed. Notably, the Regal Princess was set to dock at Kirkwall, Scotland on April 24; Invergordon, Scotland on April 25; and Edinburgh on April 26. However, the updated itinerary will still include stops at four other significant ports: Falmouth, Cobh, Dun Laoghaire, and Belfast. Princess Cruises maintains that the Regal Princess is fully certified for service by all relevant authorities and remains operational for all scheduled voyages until late April. Beyond the British Isles, itinerary plans will also see the ship visiting various locations, including Ponta Delgada in the Azores, Brest in France, Amsterdam, Zeebrugge in Belgium, Dublin, and Glasgow, Scotland.
