What Crew Members Say About Reggeborg

On December 25, 2022, the US Coast Guard conducted a successful medevac operation for five crew members aboard the vessel 'Reggeborg', which was located about 11 miles east of Indian River Bay. The emergency response began when watchstanders at the Sector Delaware Bay Command Center received reports indicating that the crew may have suffered from carbon monoxide poisoning. Prompt action was taken as a 47-foot Motor Lifeboat crew from Station Indian River was deployed to the scene. They safely transported two of the ailing mariners back to the station, while the Lewes Fire Department's boat crew assisted by ferrying the remaining three crew members to the Bethany Fire Department for further medical attention. In addition to the Coast Guard and local fire departments, agencies such as Delaware Fish and Wildlife, the Department of Natural Resources, and Delaware State Troopers also contributed to the operation. At the time of the incident, the 'Reggeborg' was anchored at the coordinates 38° 57.43' N and 075° 11.09' W, while making its journey from Jacksonville to Fairless Hill.
