Delivery of ROLLDOCK STAR Marks New Milestone for Rolldock

Dec 21, 2013 06:22

On December 18th, 2023, the highly anticipated ROLLDOCK STAR was officially delivered by the Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG) shipyard in Flensburg, Germany, to its proud owners, Rolldock, based in the Netherlands. This remarkable addition to Rolldock's fleet is a next-generation semi-submersible heavy lift roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vessel known for its superior construction quality. Rolldock expressed enthusiasm regarding the delivery of the ROLLDOCK STAR, recognizing its significance in enhancing their capabilities in heavy lift operations. The ROLLDOCK STAR is set to commence operations without delay, with its inaugural voyage scheduled to depart from Amsterdam. On this first journey, the vessel will transport a floating pavilion to Gibraltar. Following its successful delivery of the floating pavilion, the ROLLDOCK STAR will head to Fos, France, to load the river cruise vessel 'River Royale,' which it will then transport to Bordeaux. In addition to these initial contracts, the vessel is also set to undertake a significant project that involves shipping a large floating object from the Baltic region to the Far East.
