The Romeos: Crew Feedback and Vessel Data

In mid-September, the M/T Mariann, the latest addition to Marinvest's fleet, successfully set sail on its inaugural Northwest passage, marking a significant achievement for the shipping company. As the second vessel in the Marinvest lineup, following the M/T Marilee, the Mariann is geared for a journey toward the Far East. Lars Mossberg, the CEO of Marinvest, expressed his excitement, stating, "We are proud and glad to participate in the opening of a very interesting and promising new ICE Class route." Marinvest currently stands as a global leader in LR1 ice class shipping, boasting a fleet of six LR1 Ice Class 1A vessels, all certified by DNV and delivered from the Brodosplit shipyard in Croatia. Each of these vessels is meticulously winterized, ensuring full readiness for operations in severe cold climates, facilitated by experienced crews. These six sister vessels possess extensive experience navigating icy waters across various regions, including trade routes in China, Arctic Canada, the St. Lawrence area, the Baltic Sea, the White Sea, and the challenging Northern Sea Route. Notably, five of the six vessels operate within the Straits Pool, based in Singapore, complementing a sixth ice class ship recently acquired by Oldendorff Overseas Operations. The successful deployment of the Mariann not only underscores Marinvest's innovative approach to shipping in extreme conditions but also enhances the promising opportunities offered by the newly opened vessel route.
