On December 28, 2024, the 'Rostrum Hedonist' encountered an alarming incident while navigating the eastbound lane of the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) in the Singapore Strait. At approximately 1:14 AM, five armed assailants stormed aboard the vessel in the Straits of Malacca and Singapore (SOMS), specifically at coordinates 1° 3.28' N, 103° 40.27' E, situated around 3.2 nautical miles west of Pulau Cula. The perpetrators, brandishing a gun-like object, successfully made off with engine spare parts before fleeing the scene.
