Allision Incident in Azov Port Leaves Three Vessels Damaged
In an incident that occurred on April 18, 2017, the cargo ship 'M. Andreev' (IMO: 8946377) experienced a steering malfunction at around 3:30 a.m. while navigating through Anchorage 1 at Azov Port. The vessel, which was loaded with wheat, collided with the portside bow of the anchored vessel 'Aleksandr Lebed' (IMO: 8866826) and the bulbous bow of the moored 'Rusich 2'. Fortunately, all three ships sustained only minor damages. At the time of the incident, 'M. Andreev' was securely moored at Anchorage 1.
