On July 25, 2022, at approximately 6 p.m., the cargo vessel 'Rusich 7' experienced a critical engine failure while sailing from Trabzon to Taganrog. This incident occurred at coordinates 41°18'00" N, 39°28'00" E, just north of Trabzon. As the situation unfolded, the crew promptly initiated repair operations, even as the vessel drifted under the influence of prevailing winds and currents. On December 28, 2012, the 'Rusich 7', while navigating from Halden to Dordrecht, reported a tragic incident involving a female cook who went overboard. The alarm was raised at 10 a.m., prompting immediate action from the Danish Sjövärnet. The subsequent day, a coordinated search operation commenced, featuring a helicopter and five rescue vessels from both Sweden and Denmark in an effort to locate the missing crew member. The Swedish Coastguard deployed two of their vessels, along with the lifeboat 'Gad Rausing' from Skillinge, to assist in the search. Unfortunately, the adverse weather conditions, characterized by waves reaching up to two meters, complicated the efforts to spot the woman in the water.
