On the morning of July 29, 2015, a fire ignited on Deck 3 of the Safari Voyager while it was docked at Fishermen's Terminal in Seattle. The Seattle Fire Department (SFD) received a call at approximately 7:30 a.m. reporting the blaze. The ship was undergoing construction work when the incident occurred. Firefighters quickly mobilized, deploying over 27 units to the scene. Fortunately, the welders on board were able to extinguish the fire before firefighters arrived. Investigators from the SFD are currently looking into the root cause of the fire, which is believed to have been linked to the ongoing welding activities at the time.
