On April 15, 2019, at approximately 4 p.m., the bulk carrier 'Saga Wind' experienced an allision with the urea bridge located at the Ostermoor-Port in Brunsbüttel, Germany, upon its arrival from Uusikaupunki. Despite the presence of tugboats to assist with docking maneuvers, the vessel collided with the quay, resulting in visible scratches above the waterline. The impact led to significant damage to both the shore-side loading crane and various bottom plates of the pier. Investigating authorities believe the allision was primarily due to the bulk carrier's excessive residual speed. This incident was documented by officers from the Brunsbüttel water police station. Fortunately, no sailing prohibition was enacted, and the 'Saga Wind' departed the port on April 23 at 5:15 p.m., setting sail for Sao Francisco do Sul with an estimated arrival time of May 14.

On September 19, 2018, a vessel experienced overheating issues with its main engine while positioned at 51°02.9501'N and 001°24.567'E. Fortunately, no pollution was reported during the incident. The vessel successfully transitioned to auxiliary power and is currently en route to the Dungeness Roads Anchorage for a thorough assessment and necessary repairs. The good news is that the vessel has since undergone complete repairs and is now back on track toward its original destination, with no further action required by the coastguard.
