On January 9, Singapore-based subsea contractor EMAS AMC proudly announced its recent acquisition of a substantial subsea construction contract aimed at bolstering Apache Energy's Julimar Development project, situated off the northwest coast of Australia. Located roughly 180 kilometers west-northwest of Dampier, an iron ore export powerhouse in Western Australia, the Julimar natural gas field is set to integrate with Chevron’s Wheatstone platform upon its completion. The lucrative contract, valued at over A$130 million (approximately USD $105 million), encompasses a broad range of services, including project management, engineering, and the transportation and subsea installation of critical components such as an electro-hydraulic steel tube umbilical, two heavyweight subsea manifolds, alongside flying leads and jumpers. Additionally, it covers the procurement, fabrication, transportation, and installation of diverless tie-in spools, marking a significant step forward in the development of Australia’s gas resources.

In a significant leap forward, subsea contractor EMAS AMC has secured three substantial contracts with Noble Energy, collectively valued at over $300 million. This deal positions EMAS to deploy its premier vessel, the Lewek Constellation, alongside four additional vessels, as it embarks on operations in the Gulf of Mexico. Scheduled to commence in 2015, the comprehensive scope of the project encompasses engineering, procurement, construction, and installation of subsea tie-backs associated with the Big Bend, Dantzler, and Gunflint field developments. The dedicated team at EMAS AMC's Houston office will spearhead the project management, engineering, and procurement efforts. Meanwhile, the fabrication of 16 subsea structures and the preparation of over 160 miles (258 km) of line pipe are currently underway at the cutting-edge EMAS Marine Base facility in Ingleside, Texas, which has recently undergone upgrades to enhance its capabilities.
