While executing a turn within the port, the 'Rita' accidentally struck the 'Cap San Augustin,' which was securely moored at the quay. The allision resulted in noticeable damage to the starboard wheelhouse of the 'Rita,' while the 'Cap San Augustin' sustained minor scratches. Following the incident, the Water Police enforced a sailing ban, which was later lifted as investigations progressed. By 1 p.m., the 'Rita' departed the port en route to Tananger, with the 'Cap San Augustin' setting sail for Antwerp an hour later at 2 p.m.
