On the evening of September 15, 2022, at approximately 8 p.m. WIB, the tanker 'Seaborne Petro' experienced a significant engine room fire while navigating the Sunda Strait, en route from Jakarta to Cinta. Fortunately, the incident did not lead to any injuries among the crew. Quick action was taken as the m/v 'Meratus Sampit' and tugboat TB 'Pancaran 2' arrived on the scene by 8:20 p.m. Responders acted rapidly, deploying lifeboats at 8:30 p.m. Meanwhile, the 'Seaborne Petro' successfully anchored to stabilize the vessel. By 8:42 p.m., firefighters had extinguished the blaze in the engine room, proceeding with cooling measures to ensure the safety of the tanker.

On May 26, 2021, the tanker 'Seaborne Petro' encountered engine troubles while navigating from Belawan to Arjuna Port in Cirebon, West Java. With 30 crew members on board, the vessel was forced to anchor off the coast of Bintan to perform necessary repairs. Promptly responding to the situation, the patrol boat 'KN Rantos P-210' arrived at the scene, located eight nautical miles from Berakit Village beach, at 4 p.m. The patrol boat will remain on site to provide assistance until the repairs are finished and the tanker is ready to resume its journey.
