On February 22, 2012, at 11:22 a.m., the commercial vessel 'North Sea' encountered a dangerous situation when a pirate skiff armed with small weapons attempted an attack. Fortunately, a private security team swiftly intervened, successfully repelling the assault. In response to the emergency, the German supply ship 'Berlin' promptly dispatched two 'Sea King' helicopters from the Marine Air Squad 5, stationed in Kiel. Shortly thereafter, the helicopter crews identified the fleeing skiff, which was carrying eight individuals.
