Seaspan Corporation has proudly announced the successful delivery of its latest 10000 TEU containership, named HANJIN NAMU. This impressive vessel was built at Jiangsu New Yangzi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., showcasing Seaspan's commitment to innovative and fuel-efficient SAVER design technology. The HANJIN NAMU marks the second of five such containerships that Seaspan plans to receive in 2014. Upon delivery, the new ship is set to embark on a decade-long, fixed-rate time charter with Hanjin Shipping Co. Ltd., continuing Seaspan’s partnership with this major shipping line. This addition elevates Seaspan's operational fleet to a total of 73 vessels. As a leader in providing flexible outsourcing solutions for shipping lines, Seaspan offers long-term leasing options on modern, large containerships, alongside top-tier ship management services. Currently, Seaspan manages a fleet of 109 containerships, boasting a total capacity exceeding 840,000 TEU. This includes 33 newbuilding vessels that are scheduled for delivery to Seaspan and associated partners by the end of 2016. Notably, Seaspan’s current fleet of 73 also boasts an average vessel age of around seven years and an average remaining lease duration of five years, demonstrating the company’s dedication to maintaining a contemporary and efficient fleet.
