The coaster Sepehr Payam reached the shores of Dubai, United Arab Emirates, in June 2014, marking a significant milestone for its new owner who intends to operate it in local container line activities. Originally, the task began as a simple request for crew delivery but evolved into a comprehensive ship delivery project, managed entirely by TOS. The journey commenced from TOS's base in Rotterdam Waalhaven on May 13, 2014. Prior to departure, the crew undertook essential preparations including the temporary change of flag for the vessel, acquisition of necessary temporary certifications, a Maritime Labour Convention (MLC) audit, and compliance checks for both ISM and ISPS codes, alongside routine maintenance. Due to the heightened risk of piracy along the navigational route, the departure took place quietly to mitigate any potential threats. Ronald van der Kolk, Division Manager of Ship Management at TOS, emphasized the growing influence of piracy on their operational procedures: "In recent years, we have had to adapt our delivery processes and planning for high-risk areas significantly. Our customized piracy avoidance strategies enabled us to enhance our offering for this project from mere crewing services to a full-fledged ship delivery contract."
