A maritime incident occurred on May 6, 2021, when the container ship 'Sinar Solo' collided with the bulk carrier 'Taho Australia' in the busy Singapore Strait, near Lagoi on Northern Bintan Island. The 'Sinar Solo' sustained damage on its starboard side in the main deck area, while several of its containers were affected as a result of the collision.
