Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (MES) proudly announced the completion and delivery of the SISKIN ARROW, a sophisticated Open Hatch Jib Crane General Cargo Carrier. This impressive vessel, with a dead weight tonnage of 72,800 dwt, was delivered to Misuga S.A., Panama, on January 21, 2014, from the renowned Chiba Works. Marking a significant milestone as the fourth ship in its series, SISKIN ARROW boasts an extensive cargo hold capacity exceeding 86,600 m3, split across eight box-shaped cargo holds. With an impressive length of 210 meters, it ranks among the largest open hatch general cargo carriers globally. Designed to optimize the handling of cargo, the vessel is equipped with four jib cranes and features three pairs of piggyback-type hatch covers to facilitate large hatch openings, making it a standout in modern maritime logistics.
