Collision Incident at Türkeli Anchorage Involves SK Friendship and Ada
On March 25, 2024, a maritime incident unfolded at Türkeli anchorage in Istanbul, where the 'SK Friendship', traveling from Izmail to Istanbul, collided with the bulk carrier 'Ada' (IMO: 9727156). The incident took place at coordinates 41° 16.73' N and 029° 00.32' E. In response to the collision, the General Directorate of Coastal Safety of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure dispatched the lifeboat 'KEGM-8' to the site. Fortunately, despite the damages sustained by both vessels, there were no reports of environmental pollution.
