Minor Blaze Aboard Skandi Carla in the North Sea
On May 4, 2019, the offshore vessel 'Skandi Carla' encountered a minor fire within its incinerator room while operating in the North Sea at position 56°53'N, 001°13'E. Fortunately, the crew successfully extinguished the fire before it escalated and managed to notify the Coastguard just after midnight at 12:20 AM. Although the incident temporarily limited the ship's maneuverability, the 'Skandi Carla' quickly resumed its work in the Banff Oilfield without further complications.
