Incident Report: 'Skrunda' Grounds Near Vysotsk
On November 26, 2017, at approximately 12:55 PM, the service ship 'Skrunda' encountered trouble and ran aground in Dalnaya Bay, situated west of Vysotsk within the northeastern section of the Gulf of Finland. The incident was caused by a leak in the oil seal of the ship's propeller shaft, leading to unintentional water ingress. The dedicated crew worked diligently to manage the situation, successfully containing the water intrusion by 8:25 PM the same day. In response to the grounding, a tugboat was summoned to aid in refloating the 'Skrunda' on November 27.
