Sormovskiy-3055 Ship Details and Seafarer Feedback

On May 9, 2011, at 07:30 LT, the cargo vessel SORMOVSKIY 3055 (IMO number 8419611) experienced a grounding incident at the 2882 kilometer mark of the Volga River. The vessel was transporting a substantial load of 1210 metric tonnes of general cargo from Italy to Astrakhan at the time of the incident. Fortunately, the grounding did not disrupt river traffic, and no damages or spills were reported. The vessel suffered a draft loss of 30 centimeters. Thanks to the prompt assistance of the tug OT-2454, SORMOVSKIY 3055 was successfully refloated by 14:00 on the same day, allowing her to continue her voyage without further complications.
