The ice-locked vessel 'Sormovskiy 3066' has been rescued after being trapped for eight consecutive days since October 19, 2021. The incident occurred approximately two kilometers from the village of Yuryung-Khaya, positioned at 72° 49' 18.0" N, 113° 11' 35.4" E, along the River Anabar in Yakutia. Severe ice formation hindered the ship's progress to its designated winter holding site. On October 20, the deputy head of the search and rescue department from the Regional Rescue Service arrived at the location to oversee operations aimed at safeguarding the crew during their evacuation. An operational headquarters was promptly established on the scene to formulate a plan for the vessel's recovery. Rescue teams utilized an air cushion vessel for reconnaissance, identifying a viable evacuation route to the wintering site. Thanks to the extensive efforts by the rescuers, the 'Sormovskiy 3066' was successfully freed and subsequently navigated to the nearby vessel holding area for winter storage on October 26.
