By 1 p.m., the 'Speyk' was back in motion, continuing its journey with an updated estimated time of arrival (ETA) at Olbia set for November 27 at 9 a.m.

On November 9, 2018, at approximately 9 a.m., the vessel Speyk, carrying a crew of six, encountered a cylinder leak that compromised its steering gear while navigating from Rouen to Drogheda. This incident occurred at the coordinates 50 18 13.8 N, 02 04 27.6 W. In response to the issue, the Speyk altered its course to anchor at 50 34 42 N, 02 13 24 W, where it could conduct necessary repairs safely. The ship was transiting through the Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) from France to United Kingdom waters. After an estimated repair duration of nine hours, the crew successfully executed the repairs within the planned timeframe. The Speyk is projected to arrive in Drogheda on November 10, 2018, at 8 p.m.

On July 22, 2014, the cargo vessel 'Marc Andre' was involved in an oil spill at Kali Quay, located in the Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg district. The incident occurred during a bunkering operation, leading to an overflow that resulted in approximately two tons of heavy fuel oil being released into the water. This unfortunate event impacted an area of around 2000 square meters. Local fire brigade teams promptly responded to the situation, dedicating their efforts to clean up the affected site and eliminate the pollution caused by the spill.
