In a dramatic turn of events, the crew aboard the container ship 'Angeles' successfully rescued a stranded boater, 62-year-old Stuart Bee, approximately 86 miles east of Port Canaveral, Florida, on November 29, 2020. After his 32-foot Sea Ray capsized, Bee managed to cling to the hull of his vessel until help arrived around 11 a.m. The day before, on November 28, Bee was reported missing after failing to return from his trip that began the previous day from Cape Marina in Port Canaveral. The Coast Guard Sector Jacksonville was alerted at 11:40 a.m. on November 28, by a concerned individual from Cape Marina, who noted that Bee rarely stays out overnight on his boat. In response, the Coast Guard dispatched a C-130 Hercules aircraft from Air Station Clearwater and instructed the personnel at Coast Guard Station Port Canaveral to initiate preliminary and extended communications in a bid to locate the missing boater. Furthermore, the command center of the 7th District Coast Guard issued an Enhanced Group Calling to maritime operators in the area, asking them to keep a vigilant lookout for any sign of Bee and report back to the Coast Guard.
