Stanford Marine Expands Operations with Three-Year PSV Charter in Mexico
In an exciting development from its headquarters in Dubai, Stanford Marine has announced the acquisition of a three-year charter for its robust 87-meter Platform Supply Vessel (PSV), the Stanford Bateleur, in Mexico. This vessel has been contracted by Mexiship, marking a significant milestone in the company’s operational expansion in the region. Prior to commencing her lengthy charter, the Stanford Bateleur is scheduled to undergo specialized modifications in Dubai to enhance her capabilities for the project at hand. Since her delivery in early 2013, the Stanford Bateleur has been actively engaged in charters, previously supporting operations in Malaysia with Halliburton and in Qatar with Maersk Oil. The vessel will serve as an Injector Vessel for Pemex, operating out of the strategic port of Dos Bocas, located in the Tabasco state of Mexico. Moreover, the Stanford Bateleur will reunite with her smaller sister vessel, the 58-meter DP1 Stanford Goshawk, which has efficiently been operating from the nearby port of Ciudad del Carmen in Campeche over the past year. Constructed by Fujian Mawei Shipyard in China, the Stanford Bateleur is a DP2 diesel electric PSV featuring an impressive deadweight capacity of 5,145 tons, a FiFi 1 notation, an open deck area of 1,000 square meters, and accommodations for up to 52 crew members.
