In a significant milestone for the maritime industry, Stena Bulk has officially named its newest IMOIIMAX tanker, the 'Stena Impeccable', during a ceremony held in Rotterdam. The Stena Impeccable is the latest addition to the fleet, built at the Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI) shipyard in China, a facility responsible for the construction of all 13 IMOIIMAX tankers ordered by Stena Bulk, including those both delivered and currently under construction. Stena Bulk proudly owns the vessel, which is managed by Stena Weco, and it is integrated into the company’s extensive global logistics system that boasts a fleet of around 60 vessels. Out of the 13 IMOIIMAX tankers, six are completely owned by Stena Bulk, while four are co-owned with GAR (Golden Agri Resources). Additionally, two tankers belong to Stena Bulk’s sister company Concordia Maritime, and one operates in partnership with Weco. To date, 10 of the 13 IMOIIMAX tankers have successfully been delivered, with the remaining three expected to join the fleet by 2018, further enhancing Stena Bulk's impressive capabilities in maritime logistics.

The IMOIIMAX series, according to Stena Bulk, represents a significant advancement of an already established maritime concept. The vessel's cutting-edge technical design is a collaborative effort between Stena Teknik and GSI, focusing on enhanced cargo flexibility, superior safety features, and reduced fuel consumption. The Stena Impeccable demonstrates fuel efficiency that is 10 to 20 percent better than similar vessels when operating at service speed. Earlier this year, in January, Stena Bulk celebrated the delivery of the 'Stena Immaculata,' the ninth ship of this forward-thinking series.
