Stena Scotia Suffers Paint Damage After Mooring Incident

On March 7, 2016, the ferry 'Stena Scotia' encountered a mishap when it allided with a mooring pylon at Killingholme. The incident resulted in significant scratches and dents along the vessel's starboard side; however, it was deemed seaworthy post-incident. Following the accident, the 'Stena Scotia' made its way to Damen Shiprepair located in Wilton Port, Rotterdam, where it commenced repairs on March 13 at noon. Stena Line Enhances Hoek van Holland to Killingholme Service with New Vessel

Date: 04/09/2014 - In a strategic move to boost its capacity on the vital route between Hoek van Holland and Killingholme in England, Stena Line has announced the addition of a third vessel to its fleet. Starting from September 2, 2014, the ā€˜Stena Scotia’ will be officially in service. This newly deployed ship boasts an impressive capacity of over 1500 lane metres, facilitating three weekly sailings between the two ports. Existing vessels, the ā€˜Stena Transit’ and the ā€˜Stena Transporter’, have been actively serving this route, but have often reached full capacity during peak times.
