On October 4, 2019, the cargo ship 'White Pearl', on its journey from Malaysia to Norrköping, experienced a significant main engine failure while navigating near Alméria. In response to this emergency, the crew of the 'White Pearl' called for assistance, and the tugboat 'Roma' promptly arrived on the scene to provide towing support. The stricken vessel was escorted from the Alméria vicinity to the Navantia Shipyard in Cadiz, where it was safely berthed at Dock No. 5 on October 7. Engine repair operations commenced immediately, with expectations to complete the necessary repairs by October 29.
