Working Conditions Aboard the Svetlomor-3

In a dramatic incident on the evening of July 8, 2016, the fishing vessel 'Sergiy Radonezhskiy,' with a deadweight tonnage of 435 dwt (IMO: 8210792), found itself in peril as it ran aground in the serene yet treacherous waters of Oprichnik Bay in the Primorsk Region. The vessel sustained severe damage, with two underwater hull cracks, each measuring 0.2 meters in length, leading to significant water ingress. In a commendable response, the vessel 'Svetlomor 3' swiftly intervened, providing crucial assistance. Of the ten crew members onboard the Sergiy Radonezhskiy, nine were successfully evacuated to safety, while the ship's master chose to remain on board during the rescue operation.
