On September 19, 2019, at 12:30 a.m., the Antigua Barbuda-flagged cargo ship 'Margaretha' was involved in a notable allision with the vessel 'Nephrite' at Golcuk Limas port. During the unberthing operations of the 'Margaretha', the ropes parted unexpectedly, leading to contact with the 'Nephrite'. Following the incident, the 'Margaretha' maneuvered to its designated anchorage under the guidance of a port pilot alongside tug support. Both vessels were found to have sustained significant structural damage.
