With a crew of 14 aboard, the vessel was positioned at coordinates 58°49.58'N 5°28.42'E at the time of the incident. In response to the emergency, a pilot boat from the Norwegian Coastal Administration, along with police vessels and civilian craft, stood by as a precautionary measure. At 10:10 PM, specially trained firefighters were transported to the scene via a rescue helicopter from Sola. By 11:00 PM, the fire was successfully contained, allowing the pilot boat to depart.
