Rescue Operation Near Vung Tau: Injured Crew Member Evacuated
On July 23, 2017, a critical medical evacuation was carried out by the Vietnamese lifeboat 'SAR 413', which successfully transported an injured Chinese crew member from the fishing vessel 'Hai Su 2' near Vung Tau. The Vietnam Maritime Search and Rescue Coordination Center responded promptly to a request for assistance made on July 22 after crew member Zhang Qi experienced a stroke. Following the rescue, Zhang Qi was promptly admitted to Le Loi Hospital in Vung Tau for essential medical care.
