Hapag-Lloyd Launches New Asia-Gulf Service (AGS) To Enhance Connectivity

Hapag-Lloyd is set to introduce an innovative Asia-Gulf Service (AGS) to replace its existing AGX Service, with operations commencing in December 2018. This new service will feature a fleet of eight vessels and will connect key ports across Asia and the Gulf region. The ports included in the AGS routing are Busan, Lianyungang, Qingdao, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Shekou, Singapore, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Jubail, Abu Dhabi, Nansha, and back to Busan. The inaugural westbound voyage is slated for the M/V Malik Al Ashtar 030W, which is expected to arrive in Busan on December 4, 2018. Following that, the first eastbound service will see the M/V Malik Al Ashtar 030E depart for Jebel Ali, with an estimated arrival date of December 29, 2018. This new service is expected to significantly enhance the connectivity and service offerings for customers operating between Asia and the Gulf.
