Working Conditions Aboard the Teal-Ray

On May 29, 2025, at 4:00 p.m., a crew member aboard the chemical tanker 'Teal Ray' required urgent medical evacuation while the vessel was navigating approximately 60 nautical miles south of Barcelona. In response to the medical emergency, the CCS Barcelona of Salvamento Marítimo promptly dispatched the SAR helicopter Helimer 222. The helicopter successfully hoisted the patient from the vessel and transported him directly to the helipad at Son Espases Hospital in Palma for further medical treatment. This swift response illustrates the dedication of maritime rescue services in ensuring the safety and well-being of those at sea.
